Poem for
Heather Bouchard

Heather, our second born made us laugh her parents say

She was small and petit but strong in her own way.

A unique life she desired and pondered; she dared

I will be a strong determined lady with no despair.

Heather loved her sisters and had many a laugh for awhile

She cooked a good meal and cleaned house with style.

She loved her family but to her own heart she must be true

The call of her destiny was powerful and felt like glue.

Her calling was noble as she cared for the mentally ill.

She soothed and nurtured the damaged souls at will.

These people need someone to love them, I understand.”

I am doing what is necessary. I’m in God’s command.

Life is difficult for all and life can be cruel I know

God will look after me as challenges now show.

I will always love the unlovely and help those I can

I will show compassion to every woman and man.
