Poem for
Gordon Clifford Howard- 1925

Gordon Clifford Howard- 1925

Written by Carol Howard-Vulliamy- 2005

An ancestry of outstanding people Gordon can boast

Royalty, explorers, historical figures known by most

Excellence honed to perfection these people display

An outstanding host of people his friends would say.

Blessed with intelligence, character and personal skills

These people knew their offspring in turn would instill.

Destiny ordained Gordon to greatness, nothing less

His strong character and exemplary values God blessed.

As Gordon’s glorious forefathers blazed trails before him

He carries on the torch for others- lest their path grow dim

Greatness is redefined as history unfolds in unique ways.

His success is evident as he follows God with no delay.

The hundreds of people he has tutored and encouraged

Admire and appreciate him as their lives now flourish

Never forget the value of a kind word or caring glance

Words of encouragement help the faltering to dance.

Gordon’s family and friends all want to acknowledge

The many times that Gordon has given his knowledge

The disasters and personal pain simply do not remain

The healed lives and rescued souls- a credit to his name.
