Poem for
Ezra Howard

Ezra Howard-

Ezra was a gentle loving soul with an unassuming way

He found relaxation as he twiddled hankies some say.

As father he nurtured and guided his children by example

Remember the horse and sleigh as snow they did trample.

He had a faith in God and lived by the Golden Rules-

He believed that ignoring rules would never be cool.

Patience Ezra always maintained even in times of duress

His motto, “Let’s work together and clean up the mess.”

Cliff and Ezra were much like brothers in the countryside

They loved to explore up hill, down dale and the river ride.

Happy memories and camaraderie these adventures made.

Furs and gold made these men brave and very unafraid.

Ezra lived a very full memorable life in not many years

His family fondly remembers him years later with tears.

If he could but make one more wish I sense it would be

Love God and forgive the wrong-You must grow up strong.
