Poem for
Alan Roberts

Alan Roberts- Son of Betty Roberts nee Howard

The Howard heritage is flavored with Royal blood you see

The grandeur and pomp of a world we can never in part be

Then there was the Vikings so bold and free leaving a mark

Their ships cruised the open seas sometimes through the dark

The Royal life, the Vikings and the Pilgrims via the Mayflower’

Leave Alan, Lori, Luke and Lindsey reeling in imaginary power.

Every Howard is free to be great in unique ways- it’s true

Our challenge is self-discovery and following Gods plan through.

A true Howard is he who loves and explores the great outdoors.

The early ancestors loved courage, risk and intrigue to the core

As history redefines itself inquisitive minds search for new quests.

Environmental studies and farming require help from only the best.

To our generations of cooks, the Howard ancestors give this call

Learn how to make pemmican, bannock, buffalo stew and all

Use the campfire and cast iron pot- remember the stand-up brew

This delicious food will stick to your ribs the whole night through
