Percy John Terence Best, son of John and Bessie Best weds Lorna Revilla Howard, daughter of Olive Howard and the late Ezra Howard, in Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan. This is when these two very large family trees united. Percy and Lorna then became the patriarch and matriarch of their own family.

My father, Percy John Terence Best, was born on January 23, 1930 at Oxbow, Saskatchewan. My mother, Lorna Revilla Best (nee: Howard), was born on February 19, 1934 at Frenchman Butte, Saskatchewan. They were married at Frenchman Butte, Sask. by Reverend Elwood McLean on June 10, 1952 in the log church that used to stand across the street from Buchta's General Store. To this union, four boys were born, Ezra Larry, born on March 24, 1953 and died on April 24, 1953 and is buried at Mervin, Saskatchewan. Terry Ronald was born on May 17, 1954, Patrick Kelly was born on December 9, 1956 and Jonathon Percy Robin was born on March 8, 1972.

On June 15, 2002 the family and friends helped Percy and Lorna celebrate their 50^th Wedding Anniversary. The celebration was held at Lea Park, which is nestled amongst the river hills where the North Saskatchewan River and the Vermilion River meet. People came from as far away as the Yukon; Saskatchewan; Manitoba; British Columbia and Alberta. There were approximately 300 people in attendance of this glorious occasion. Some of their original wedding attendants were there also. These people were Hazel Morris-Simons, who was Lorna’s maid of honour and Reverend Elwood McLean. All the descendants of Percy and Lorna’s were also able to attend and help them celebrate this wonderful occasion.
