Photograph 4 - Kamsack Gen Web Region
We were paddling out on the lake in late August. A flock of geese flew by in typical "v" formation. This is a typical sight every spring as the geese fly north to their favorite feeding grounds, and also in the fall, as the geese gather in flocks to return south. Each goose flies in the wake of air drafts created by the goose in front of it, being pulled along and so on down the arm of the "v", making it much easier to fly long distances. The geese take turns being at the head of the "V" which be the position needing the most energy.
