Here are the memoirs written by Vernon Dean (1898-1984). He was the son of George Homer Dean (1857-1919) and youngest brother of George Stringer Dean (1887-1972). He titles his stories:

They are a candid account of the Dean family’s life in England, moving to Saskatchewan and pioneering in the prairies. The stories were transcribed from two sets of faded manuscripts passed down to my father Rowland Dean and aunt Donna Russell. I did my best to preserve Vernon’s original documents complete with his misspellings and peculiar use of punctuation.
