The University of the Pacific (UOP) has in their library the Holt-Atherton Collection. The Holt-Atherton Department is the Special Collections unit of the William Knox Holt Memorial Library at the University of the Pacific. Its primary Purpose is to collect, maintain and provide access to the California and Western Americana collections and the University Archives.

Tracy Area Genealogical Society now has their new web site up and running, they cover the area around Tracy, California.
The California Genealogical Society, founded in 1898, is the oldest genealogical society in the State of California. The purpose of the Society is to help people trace and compile their own family histories. The Society maintains a library, gathers and preserves vital records, and provides education through meetings, seminars and workshops.

Genealogy Gems Podcast" is a FREE weekly audio show devoted to family history. Episodes run about 25 minutes and are jammed packed with great research ideas. In addition, listeners will get inspiration and creative techniques for displaying and sharing their research. It's a free educational resource for your members and website visitors. They can listen on the website, in itunes, or download the episodes on to an ipod or MP3 player. The choice is theirs. They will also find a wealth of additional information in the companion show notes on the Genealogy Gems Podcast website.
