Funeral Services were held
Saturday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Methodist Church
in Oak Creek, for Susan Elizabeth Hubbard, 80. Mrs. Hubbard died
at the Moffat Rest Home in Craig on Wednesday, February 24, 1965,
following a lingering illness.
Susan Elizabeth Booth was
born in Cainsville, Missouri on May 24, 1884. She was the daughter
of James F. Booth and Margaret Anna (Wyatt) Booth. She had resided
in Oak Creek since 1924/25, moving from Johnson Mesa (near Raton),
NM. Susan married Frank Deloss Hubbard on April 8, 1903 at Harper,
Kansas. To this marriage 10 children were born, six of whom preceded
her in death. Susan was also preceded in death by her husband
Frank in 1955.
Susan is survived by four
daughters, Margaret Raines of Oak Creek, Vivian Reay of Denver,
Lois Doyle of Dragerton, Utah, and grace Booco of Hayden; 24 grandchildren,
37 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces
and nephews.
Interment was in the Oak
Creek Cemetery, at Oak Creek, CO.
