Funeral services were held
Thursday, May 11, 1995, at 1:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church
in Hayden for Gordon Deloss Booco, 59. Gordon died at University
Hospital in Denver on Friday, May 5, 1995.
Gordon Deloss Booco was
born in Toponas, Colorado, on August 2, 1935. He was the son of
the late William Gordon and Grace Emma (Hubbard) Booco. He spent
his childhood in Milner, CO and graduated from Hayden High School.
He was a resident of Hayden for 39 years. He married Ilda Lawton
in April 1953, and they raised four children.
Gordon is survived by his
wife, Ilda of Hayden; four sons, Gordon Dale, Allen and Randy,
all of Hayden and Larry of Craig; two brothers, Duke Booco of
Whitewater, CO and Jim Zubal of Price, Utah; two sisters, Iris
Doolin of Craig and Grace Lepak of Battleground, WA; eight grandchildren,
and two great-grandchildren.
Gordon is prceded in death
by his parents.
Gordon worked for the Yampa
Valley Electric Association for many years and was a rancher.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking, roping,
gun collecting and his family. He was one of the founding members
of the Hayden Roping Club, a memeber of the Fairground board for
12 years and served as president for 8 years. He served on the
school board for four years, two years as president.
Interment was in the Hayden
Cemetery, Hayden, CO.
