Gern Booco
Funeral services were held
Tuesday September 22, 1987, at 9:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Mortuary
Chapel in Denver for Gern Booco, 80. Gern died after a long illness
on Septmeber 18, 1987.
Gern Booco was born in Glenwood
Springs, CO on March 21, 1907. He was the son of the late William
Woodruff Jr. and Mary Adeline (Montgomery) Booco. The family ranched
in the McCoy, Wolcott area for many years. Gern married Alice
Margorie Bakke in Nov. 1930 in Steamboat Springs, CO, and they
raised four children.
Gern is survived by his
wife Alice; three sons, William G., Lawrence E. both of Arvada,
and David J. of Littleton; one daughter Patsy J. Hallenberg of
Grass Valley, CA; brother Jack Booco of Overton, NV; and 16 grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Gern was preceded in death
by his parents, and two brothers, William Gordon and Lawrence
Booco.
Interment was in the McCoy
Cemetery, McCoy, Colorado.
