Frank Deloss Hubbard
Funeral services were held
Friday, May , 1955, at the Community Church in Oak Creek, for
Frank Deloss Hubbard, 80. Mr. Hubbard died in Oak Creek, on May
3, 1955, following an illness of several months.
Frank Deloss Hubbard was
born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, on June 10, 1874. He was the son of
the late Alexis Rovell Hubbard and Anna (Allen) Hubbard. Frank
married Susan Elizabeth Booth on April 8, 1903 at Harper, KS.
He had resided in Oak Creek since 1924/25, moving from Johnson
Mesa (near Raton), NM. To this marriage 10 children were born,
four of whom preceded him in death.
Frank is survived by his
wife, Susan Elizabeth Hubbard of Oak Creek; Two sons, James O.
Hubbard and Tom A. Hubbard, both of Oak Creek and four daughters,
Mrs. Howard K. Raines and Vivian M. Scraper of Oak Creek, Mrs.
James Doyle of Dragerton, Utah and Mrs. Gordon Booco of Milner;
23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Frank was active in politics
and civic affairs and worked as a carpenter, interior decorator
and miner for many years. He was a memeber of the Knights of Pythias
for 44 years. Mr. Hubbard was an early day resident of Jet, OK,
who built several buildings and the sidewalks and cellars in Jet.
Interment was in the Oak
Creek Cemetery, at Oak Creek, CO.
