SCHWENK is the German spelling of the SWANK name.
My third great-grandparents were Sarah SWANK 1797 to 1855-1856 Pennsylvania to Montgomery County, Ohio to Huntington
County, Indiana. No death date or tombstone has been found for Sarah. She last appears in a Huntington County, Indiana deed. Husband
George ROYER 1786-1876 almost 90 or 100 years old Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Montgomery County, Ohio to Huntington County
to Whitley County, Indiana and George may have been born in 1776 and just weeks short of 100 years old. His tombstone is a 20th
century replacement and his obituaries give different ages and birth dates.
Sarah's parents Peter SWANK 1763-1837 Cumberland County, Pennsylvania to Montgomery County, Ohio and Hannah 1771-after
1850 Pennsylvania to Montgomery County, Ohio. There are lots of SCHWENK's and SWANK's in Pennsylvania, but I have yet to find a
connection with Peter. Their land east of Wolf Creek Road is now part of Sycamore State Park.
