NOTE (1) Early researchers identified her as a daughter of Solomon and Sarah Salyer Saylor but all the children of that couple have been identified and she is not one of them. The circuit court case regarding a dispute over trhe handling of Solomon's estate clearly names his children and Lucy is not mentioned although she is alive and living in the immediate vicinity.

NOTE (2) Deeds in Harlan County about 1907 refer to 11 shares of property in the estate of Ephraim Osborne.
