I am searching for
information on my g-grandmother Jemima (Jenny) DAWSON, WASHBURN, CROSS. She would have lived in Woonsocket from
about 1900 to when she died October 9, 1926.
George CROSS would have been her second husband. I am searching for any information on this
family, especially to Jemima and her first husband Lewis WASHBURN and their
children Bessie (JENSEN), Edith (STIERS), Grace (JARVIS, THOMAS), Pearl
(JONES), Jessie and Frank. Would
obituaries be available for those that died in Woonsocket. I understand the Woonsocket News newspapers
are located at Pierre. How would I
obtain information from these newspapers?
I want to find the name of Lewis WASHBURN's father and mother. I have not been able to find this
information on a death certificate of Lewis who died at Yankton. I do know that his mother's name was Mary
Ellen, but do not know her maiden name.
Thank you for any information that I might glean on these families.
