My GG-grandparents, HEINRICH/DETTRICK CHRISTIAN "CONRAD" LAMPMANN (b: 02 July
1836 in Schluesselburg, Westphalem, Germany) and CAROLINE SOPHIE MARGARETHE
ROHLFING/ROLFENK/ROLFING (b: 02 September 1840 in Schluesselburg, Westphalem, Germany)
were married 28 May 1860 in Germany and had 7 daughters. Conrad and Caroline Lampmann
brought 5 of their daughters to the US on the ship "Rhein". They arrived in NY
on 19 June 1885 from Bremen and Southampton. Their oldest child, Sophie, immigrated to the
US in 1885 (separate from her family) and third born child, Marie, immigrated to US in
1884. The Lampmann Family and 6 children traveled west and settled in SD, Aurora County.
My G- grandmother, Marie, was the only child to remain in the east and settled in NJ,
Hudson and Bergen County. Both Conrad and Caroline Lampmann are buried in Crystal Lake
Cemetery, White Lake, Aurora County, SD. Conrad Lampmann died 04 January 1890 and Caroline
died 27 January 1927. I am actively researching their 7 daughters and their descendants. I
have reached a temporary dead end on two of their children, Caroline and Anna. 1) SOPHIE
