Zion Lutheran Cemetery, also known as Evangelical Lutheran Zion or Metzgerville Cemetery, is located 11 miles south and 1 1/2 miles west of Mt. Vernon, in the southwest corner of the county. Land was obtained from Reinhold Metzger on August 17, 1914, and is situated on the south side of the road near a shelterbelt. The church grounds are fenced with the cemetery on the west end next to the trees. The church is still open, served by Rev.Robert Uttecht of Dimock (1978), who also holds the church records. Stones were read in April of 1978 by the Davison County Genealogical Society. An asterick in front of a death date indicates that there is no stone.
