Re: GABLE I am looking for more information on Joseph Allen GABLE and his wife, Lydia. I
am
having some time gaps of their whereabouts during their lifetime and when/where they,
Lydia died.
Joseph had lived in Mahaska County, Iowa most of his life and most of his family lived
there and
some died there. I have found him in Census records of 1850 (VA), 1860 (IA), 1880 (IA),
and
1885 (IA). I couldn't find him in 1870 and after 1885. I can approximate Joseph's death
between
1885 to 1924 and his wife, Lydia between 1885 to 1916. Yesterday, I came across one of my
oldest relative related to Joseph who has a couple of pictures showing "Homestead of
G.W.
GABLE" (a son to Joseph and Lydia) in writing by G.W. GABLE's teenaged son taken
during 1910
at Morristown, Corson County, SD. I would like to know if these GABLEs can be found in the
Census records for Corson County during that time span when the picture was taken. I hope
this will
help me narrow down some missing information I am looking for. By the way, with the help
of
Homestead Home Page here, I will send a letter to the Archives at Washington, D.C. to see
if they
have records of G.W. GABLE's Homestead. Thank you for your help.

Re: GABLE This is in reference to my previous query. I need to mention about something. I
came
across an information that Morristown was in Schnasse County before 1910. Schnasse County
became Corson County after 1910. So check out both counties as well to see if my GABLEs
can
be found in that vicinity or not during that time span.
