Reuben KLEIN was drafted into the U.S. Army in Aberdeen, SD (Brown County) for World War I service. Reuben fought in France with the 361st Infantry, but we are having trouble finding official record of his service. (He was not killed.) Does Aberdeen have any resources on its veterans?

Looking for definite information about the children of Paul KRUEGER and Anna Maria THEBY known to have been living in Hanson Twp., Brown Co., SD at the time of the 1900 census. Believe the children born in Wisconsin to be Gottlieb (c. 1865), August (c. 1868), Anna (c. 1869), and William (Sep 1878). A child born in South Dakota was Johanna (2 July 1885). Possibly other children.

Homer W. PALMER, born Aug. 17, 1890. Died Mar. 31, 1917 in Sioux City, Ia. Supposedly came from SD. In the book "Early History of Brown County, SD" a Homer W. PALMER is listed on page 111. Does anyone have any info on this man or where I can get the info listed on PALMER in the book?

Anders (Andrew) HANSON, born January 9, 1860, Lovestad, Skane, Sweden; died January 19, 1917 at Hospital in Aberdeen, South Daktoa from operation; married Rebecca (Rebecka) BANG JOHNSON February 1, 1899. Lived 5 miles from Claremont, South Dakota where family farm is still located (1 1/2 miles into Marshall County). His parents were Hans BENGTSSON and Bolla JOHANSDOTTER; siblings were Pehr, Anna, Johan, Karna, and Nils. Rebecca's parents were Johan Reinhold Andersson BANG and Lovisa JOHANNISDOTTER; her siblings were Sara Mathilda, Karl Johan Robert, Anders Fridolf, Sigrid Augusta, and Hjalmar Gunnar. Rebecca was born in Dadesjo Parish near Aseda, Sweden January 14, 1877. She immigrated to USA May 17, 1892. Andrew and Rebecca's children were Carl Nobel, baby Gladys, Hilmer Glendon, Chester Waldemore, Addie Gladys (MOERKE, Britton, S.D.), Ruth Alvida (Aberdeen, S.D.), and George Leonard. Would like to have any information about Andrew, his parents and/or siblings; Rebecca, her parents, and/or siblings or any other relatives.

I am hunting for descendants of Rev. J. (Jacob) Scott BUTT of Groton SD and his wife, Katie (Catherine) Joline MARGERUM, of Princeton NJ, who married in 1890 and had at least one son, Samuel McClellan BUTT, b Brown County in 1894. In return I can supply Katie's MARGERUM line back to 1682 and give info on Katie's father, John Henry Simmons MARGERUM, who was somewhat of a local hero in NJ at the beginning of the Civil War.

I'm interested in obtaining any info I can about the death of an individual named Levi C. KLECKNER. He was an employee of the Chicago and Northwestern RR, and was in Groton, SD working with a group of men to get a derailed car back on the tracks. A cable snapped and hit Levi in the head and killed him instantly. The date of the accident was Aug. 02, 1908.

Seeking the parents of Ervin Ira HUMPHREY, born November 18, 1883 Brown County, SD. He was raised by his uncle James Irvin HUMPHREY and his wife Susan Estella SMITH. Erv married Susan's neice Susan Evelina SMITH. I believe they operated a store in Aberdeen before moving to California in the early 1900s.
