I'm looking for any information about Helmer (Elmer) and Alma LOBERG. Don't know Alma's maiden name. I know at one time they did live in Brown County in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In the late 1800s to the present right in between there.

I've been told that my great uncle, Raymond BAXTER, owned (perhaps worked) at a coal company under the name -- Baxter Coal Company. He would have been in the Aberdeen area during mid-1900. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Ferdinand or Carl FUHRMAN that are mentioned in the Early History of Brown County. My Gr Grandfather was Gustav FUHRMAN that emigrated from Germany in 1882. His fathers name was Carl FUHRMAN and he had a brother named Ferdinand. I need to know if these are the same people.

My grandmother is from Aberdeen S.D. I found what I believe is her father. He is buried in Bath. Her name was Pearl HALL and her father's name was Albert HALL. I am trying to find information on her and my grandfather whose name was Edward GRACE. I know nothing about my grandfather. Thanks for any help.

My husband's great grandfather was in Aberdeen in the 1880s or 1890s. He was a newspaper publisher. Do you know if he published any newspapers in Aberdeen, and if so what are the names? If I know which ones he published (if any), then I can contact one of the libraries with newspaper archives for a copy. His name was William H. BRININSTOOL. Thanks for any help.

I am looking for information on HERSHLIEB. I have references that Lawerance worked or ran a clothing store in Aberdeen, SD, Brown County. I am looking for records of his sister(s) Libby and Amelia. I have reason to believe that they may have come to live near their brother around 1945. Libby may have used the last name of STAHL.

I am researching information pertaining to Valfrid Elias ENGSTROM, known to have been in the Groton area circa 1912. Specifically, I am searching for information on any descendents who may still live in the area. V.E. ENGSTROM immigrated from Zinkgruvan, Sweden, about 1909. It is thought that he may have owned a farm near Groton. Any information you can supply would be appreciated.

My grandmother, Alice FLANDERS, was born at or near Columbia, SD 30 June 1884 to Charles and Susan FLANDERS. She had a twin brother, Alfred, who died as a child. The family probably farmed in the area during much of the 1880s and possibly earlier. I am seeking information on where they lived, Alfred's grave, church membership, etc.

Researching Chester E. CORRY and Stella SMITH. Timeframe: 1900-1910; Location: Columbia, SD. Looking for any information regarding Stella SMITH and Chester E. CORRY. Confirmed they were in Columbia, Brown Co., SD in 1906. [birth - son - Chester E. CORRY II Jan. 18 1906]. Chester E. CORRY was a banker. Family moved to California in 1910's as Stella had TB. She died a few years later.

Margaret MAXWELL; Nellie, b. 1871, m. Pen PADDOCK; Jennie, b. 1873, m. Henry HOOVER; Emmett, b. 1875, d. 1881; George G., b. 1882, m. Frances ?; Andrew V., b. 1886, m. Jennie FORSTY; and Agnes G., b. 1890, m. Lorenz KINDSCHI. Anyone descended from this family please contact me. I am searching for a needle in a haystack here it goes, Joe WOODARD married in Aberdeen to Nellie (could possibly be Helen?) between 1914 and 1917. When their daughter Helen was born I have a picture of them from Artz Photo Studio, Aberdeen, S.D. around 1919. I am hoping maybe someone has something like that in their research. Joe and Helen were last known in Groves, Utah in 1953 but Joe was everywhere at any given time. Well here's to luck!

Looking for relatives of Barney OLINGER born March 1865 in Claton Co., Iowa. Had a son named Joe and 3 daughters Eva, Rose, and Bessie. Barney OLINGER lived in South Dakota and at one time and owned a bank. Possibly during the depression. I believe he had some connectons to Brown County.

I am looking for info on my grandfather Ralph DENNIS he was born 06-21-1885 in Frederick, Brown Co, South Dakota. His father was Eugene DeWitt Clinton DENNIS, his mother was Kate Lovonia HOFFMAN.
