Married Nellie Belle RIBLET 11/24/1886 in Columbia, Brown Co., SD. Three children born at Ordway - Hazel Belle (my mother), Charles Harold, and Ruth Virginia. Charles Rollin's parents were Charles KIMBALL who died in Ordway, buried in Douglas, MN and Caroline Amelia COOLIDGE who died in Douglas, MN. I want to know what business my grandfather was in at Ordway and if he owned land there.

His wife Augusta, born January 1876 in England, and daughters Lillian Maud born August 1878 in Canada and Hattie S., born in January 1880 in Canada, also immigrated in 1882. The rest of the childred, Alfred or Alford (September 1882), Jennie (December 1884), Robert (March 1887), Katherine (June 1889), James (August 1892) and Dorothy (December 1894) were born in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Augusta died between 1901 and 1908. Any information about them or their decendents will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find any info about Madison (or Mattison) GREGORY who was a farm implement dealer in Westport in the 1880s. He died about 1885-86 after being thrown from a horse. His wife's name was Esther, and they had three daughters named Lillie, Jenny, and Ethel. The family moved to Westport from Kankakee, IL - year unkown. Madison was 35 - 40 when he died. Place of burial is unknown. The widow and children left Westport and moved to Royalton, MN where they had relatives. All connection with the GREGORY family has been lost for 110 years. Madison is thought to be of Scottish extraction, but parents and siblings are unknown.
