Obtaining Obituaries
Copies of obituaries gleaned from local newspapers may be obtained by writing to the Aberdeen Area Genealogical Society. The available obituaries are predominantly from the Aberdeen American-News, but obituaries from other local papers are also available. Another source for obituaries in the Groton Area is from the historical society in Groton. They have obituary clippings from the Groton Independent, as well as several of the surrounding papers.
