KUYKENDAL FAMILY BURIAL GROUND

The following inscriptions were copied about 1939 by J.E. Hart, Jr., from tombstones found in a family burial ground found on a one-time Lowry family plantation, off State Road 347, south of its intersection with State Road 1172, on Fishing Creek in York County, SC. As of January 13, 1981, both stones have been destroyed.

Sacred / to / the memory / of / SAMUEL KUYKENDAL / who departed this life / Nov. 16th 1810 / aged 59 years / Also / JESSE KUYKENDAL who died Dec. 1811 / years / Also / SAML. KUYKENDAL jun. / who died Dec. 21, 1811 / aged 10 years
