Alice Jeanette Smith Josey was born
March 6, 1843 and died September 16, 1916.
She was the wife of George Lafayette Josey
who along with four of his
brothers were in Company K 23 rd Regiment,
South Carolina Volunteers during
the War Between the States.
She was the daughter of John Mitchell Smith
and Lydia Copeland.
George Lafayette Josey is buried in Little
Rock, Arkansas.
Alice Jeanette is buried at Bethany Baptist
Church, St. Charles, SC
