The project was organized in May 1997 by Jeff Murphy using established
KY Biographies Project as a model.  State Coordinators were sought to
set up their own state project. They were offered the system design and
tools created for the KY project, but were free to set up their project in
any way they chose.

This page was created to provide a single entry point for all Laurens County Biographies.
South Carolina Biographies is the single entry point for all counties of the South Carolina
project.. US Biographies becomes the single entry point for all state projects.
