Monuments & Memorials - The Spanish American War Database - February 15th, 1898, to July 4th, 1902

Monuments & Memorials, 1898 to 1902

In an effort to ensure that all veterans of the Spanish American War, the Philippine Insurrection, and the China Relief Expedition were, and are, remembered, Monuments were erected across the Country, in small towns and big Cities, on Courthouse Grounds, and State House Grounds. Over the years people have passed these monuments and taken little notice of them, paying attention instead to other larger and more impressive monuments nearby, in some sections of the country. Due in part to this some of these monuments have become neglected over time and forgotten. In an effort to ensure that these monuments are properly taken care of we are currently gathering a list of the locations, inscriptions, condition, etc.. If you are aware of the location of a monument please feel free to contribute this information to the Webmaster.

The following is a listing, by state and country, of the various monuments and memorials to the Veterans of the Spanish American War, the Philippine Insurrection, and the China Relief Expedition, the battles, and other events that occured between February 15th, 1898, and July 4th, 1902.
