November 2000 Meeting was held at 4 - 5:30 PM Friday 17 November 2000 at the First Methodist Church on the corner of Congress & College Streets (US 321 Business), Winnsboro, SC. The meeting was in the Conference Room in the Basement. We entered the church under the covered entrance at back of church. This is the basement door. Speaker: Linda Barkley Hoyle of Lincolnton NC told of her trip October 26 - 29, 2000 to the Battlefields of Harpers Ferry WV 13 - 17 Sep 1862 & 4 Jul 1864 Fredricksburg VA 13 Dec 1862 & 3 - 4 May 1863 Gettysburg PA 1-3 Jul 1863 Cedar Creek VA 19 Oct 1864 The Confederate reenactor attended but could not find his shoes so did not come dressed as a reenactor. "Eddie" Killian Jr.s * Member of John Bratton     Chapter UDC s Member of SCV Linda Hoyle at Gettysburg Harpers Ferry WV Cashtown Hotel, where Gen. Lee stayed the nights before Gettysburg. It is now a bed & breakfast. To the left of the building is where Gen. Lee & his troops entered Cashtown on their way to Gettysburg. The public is welcome to attend. This meeting is open to men & boys, as well as ladies & girls. It would add to your enjoyment if you know your ancestors' units.
