<>GREENLAWN CEMETERY RECORDS OF RICHLAND COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA - VOL. I                        SECTIONS D, E, X, Y AND CHERUBLAND D/E AND XI
Represented in Volume I are 6700+ burials located in Sections D, E, X, Y and Cherubland D/E and XI.  Each section listed has been surveyed, recorded, and resurveyed beginning in 2009.  The records contained here are actual transcriptions from the markers in the cemetery with some notations of blank stones and unidentifiable markers.  The number of unmarked grave sites is unknown to us and is not noted.  All markers were readable

The entries are arranged by section.  The comments column contains other information found on the marker including military service records, family relationships, special designation and joint marker indications. Abbreviations used throughout are listed in the Appendix.  Also, is a map of the cemetery printed by permission of Greenlawn Cemetery.  An every name index that gives firs and last name and pages numbers is also included.  Cost: $25.00

The 1888 Columbia City Directory is a valuable tool when searching for early residents of Columbia.  The information found here can help identify persons in the area that would be recorded on the1890 census if it existed. This 400 page edition contains the records submitted for membership in The Founding Families of the State of South Carolina    To qualify a person had to prove direct descent from an ancestor who settled in South Carolina prior to May 23, 1788, the date South Carolina became a state.   This book contains the listing of ancestors, connecting family surnames and Founding Families member(s) who descend from that ancestor.  Also presented is a copy of the original descent charts submitted for membership in Founding Families, which contains a reference to the documents used to prove each generation of descent. INDEPENDENT OR CIRCULAR CHURCH RECORDS CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA by Theresa M. Hicks and Frances S. Osburn
This book contains a list of burials found in the Circular Church yard.  The church was organized about 1680-1690.  Members of the  congregation included Presbyterians, Congregationalist and French Huguenots- some of the early leaders of the colony, mariners and merchants.  Others who died while visiting in Charleson are mentioned in the records and are buried in the church yard.   Indexed, softbound.  Cost: $12.00
