Membership Information

Membership in the Columbia Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society is open to any individual interested in genealogy and the objectives of the Society.  Primary membership in the Columbia Chapter automatically entitles on to membership in the South Carolina Genealogical Society, Inc. and to receive the publications of the State Society and Columbia Chapter.  Those who are already primary members in other chapters may join the Columbia Chapter as an Associate Member.

Dues are paid annually in January.  Dues are as follows:  Individual $20.00, Family membership $25.00 and Associate membership $15.00.

Send this application and payment of dues to Columbia Chapter, SCSG.  Your state mailing label will be made after receipt of your state dues by the state treasurer.  State membership numbers are assigned January 1, to September 1 of each year.

Each member is encouraged to submit the surnames of the families they are researching.  Each individual may submit up to ten surnames.
