The Columbia Chapter, SCGS is an organization dedicated to raising the standards of genealogical research throughout the county and state through educational programs, workshops, publication of genealogical data and worth. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and our membership is open to anyone interested in genealogy. It is our goal to promote the collection and preservation of the early records of the Colony, State, Counties and Cities of South Carolina. This Society is a
