In the name of God amen know all men by these present that I Patrick Mahan of the township of Washington County of Indiana and State of Penna farmer being aged and infirm but of a sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following, eg: 1st My will is that as soon after my decease as convenient all my just debts and my funeral expenses be paid out of my estate by my Executrix hereinafter named. 2nd My beloved wife being decd my will is that my three daughters namely Rebecca Mahan, Jane Mahan and Elizabeth Mahan shall have an hold all the money that shall be due due (sic), and further I will and bequeath to the above named three heirs the Farm upon which I now reside situated in Washington Township County of Indiana and State of Pennsylvania with all its appurtenances to have and to hold the same for themselves their heirs and assigns forever. 3rd My will further is that my Executrix pay out of my Estate one year after my decease to my daughter Mrs. Mary Niuel [?], Mrs. Martha Lung [?], Mrs. Annie Duncan and my son David Mahan each one hundred dollars also at the same time fifty dollars for the huse of the Freedmen all the remainder of my worldly effects real personal or aniped [?] to be and remain in teh hands of the three first named heirs and their assigns forever. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my daughter Elizabeth Mahan to be the Executrix of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I Patrick Mahan have to this my last will and Testament set my name and affixed my seal this the twenty second day of June one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight.
