CABBAGE ROLLS

1/2 c. rice
1 tsp. salt
1 head cabbage
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
tomato juice
Cook rice in boiling salted water for 10 minutes; drain. Place cabbage in boiling
water; remove when leaves are softened.
Mix hamburger, rice, egg and onion with the seasonings. Place small portion of meat
mixture on each cabbage leaf,, fold leaf over and wrap into a roll. Fasten with toothpicks.
Place in a large saucepan and cover with tomato juice. Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.
