obituary of Sidney Alexander Hunt "On Sunday, March 13th, 1921, in West Bloomfield occurred the death of Sidney A. Hunt, aged 83 years. He was born in the Honeoye Falls, April 20th, 1838. Part of his early life was spent in California where he went during the gold fever. He was married there and several years later returned to this state and has since resided in this vicinity. During the past few years he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. H. S. Brown, in West Bloomfield and died there last Sunday. While living in California he joined the Masonic fraternity and upon his return transferred hsi membership to Union Star Lodge, No. 320, Honeoye Falls, of which he was Master in the year 1884. Surviving him besides his wife, is one daughter, Mrs. H. S. Brown, of West Bloomfield; three brothers, W. R. Hunt and A. H. Hunt of this village and Barrett Hunt, of Rochester; two grandchildren, harold and Henry Brown, of West Bloomfield. The funeral services were held from his late home on Wednesday, March 16th, at 2:30 o'clock. Internment in North Bloomfield Cemetery. Union Star Lodge, No. 320, conducted the services at the grave."
