Obituary of Prentiss W. Shepard

"Prentiss W. Shepard, a well known resident of North Bloomfield, died early Monday morning at his home in that village, aged 74 years.  His death was due to a lung trouble.  Mr. Shepard was born at Cohocton, Steuben county.  For the past twenty years he has been a resident of North Bloomfield.  He is survived by a widow, tow sons and one daughter.  The children are: Mrs. Mina Conkling [Conklin] of North Bloomfield, and William and La Verne Shepard of Washington state.  The funeral was held from the house Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. B. B. Fairchild officiating.  The remains were taken to  Atlanta, Steuben county, Wednesday morning for internment."
