Obituary of Lillian Shepard

"Mrs. W. W. Shepard, descendant of one of the pioneer families of this community, passed away at teh family home in N. Bloomfield on Saturday, April 25, 1953, following a short illness.  She was 85 years of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Shepard was bron in the Town of Mendon, August 21, 1867, the daughter of Sarah Richardson and Elston Hunt, and resided in this community throughout her entire life.

She is survived by her husband, Will; three daughters, Mrs. Mina Proper, Miss Mabel Shepard and Miss Helen Shepard, all of this village; three sons, Elston of Honeoye Falls, Leslie M. of Short Hills, N. J., and Wendall H. of Lockport; one sister, Miss Isabel Hunt of Honeoye Falls; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, April 28th, at 1:30 o'clock, form the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Monroe St., this village, with the Rev. Herbert A. Lotee, past of the West Bloomfield Congregational Church officiating.  Interment followed in the West Bloomfield Cemetery."
