"James J. Duncan, of Dilltown, died suddenly Tuesday morning, November 29. Monday afternoon he attended the funeral of Mrs. Jacob Kuckenbrod, an old friend and neighbor, at Blacklick Furnace, came home and ate a hearty supper after which he became suddenly ill. He was 76 years old. Six grownup children of the first wife survive him. His second wife was a Mrs. Bracken who is living at Dilltown." 12-7-1898
