Francis A. Carmelia, M.D.
June 2, ?1889?
Dec. 15, 1947

Daniel and Sarah BENNER are Clara BROWNBACK's parents. Sarah's maiden name was ELLIS.

Bruce and I found a newspaper clipping for the marriage of Sarah E. BROWNBACK, daughter of Maris and Clara BROWNBACK. The clipping names Sarah's husband as "Dr. Charles Albion Carmelia, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carmelia." However, in Clara BENNER BROWNBACK's obituary, it lists one of the survivors as "Sarah, wife of Dr. F. A. Carmelia, of Marcus Hook...." We don't know yet if the Francis A. Carmelia, M.D. listed on this monument is the husband of Sarah BROWNBACK CARMELIA. Still trying to sort out the discrepancies.
