THE  OLD  RIKER  BURYING  GROUND

Bowery Bay, Queens County, New York

The old Riker burying ground -- also known as the Poor Bowery (Bouwerie) cemetery -- is one of great historic interest.  It is located just inside the city limits of New York City.

One of the early graves is that of Abraham RIKER, son of Abraham and Margaret RIKER: born 1655, died August 20, 1746.
