This signature of Catharine Zorbach is taken from an 1858 petition to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City protesting a planned soap factory on Canal Street in Fells Point. The petition stated that "our property would be much injured." Also it was noted that a soap factory would depreciate the value of property in the neighborhood.
Katharina Kohler Zorbach was born in Kleinwalstadt, Bavaria in 1804 and died in Baltimore City in 1899.
