Another FARMER family living in Newton County area was
WILLIAM A FARMER (1838-1892)who married ELIZABETH VILLINES
(daughter of Addison and Lucy Reeves Villines) ca 1866 in Newton
County. Elizabeth was born 1847 in Arkansas.

This William Farmer's parents were believed to be WILLIAM FARMER
born 1804 in Virginia and LYDIA SMITH .
William and Lydia were married 10Jan1831 in Jefferson County, Tennessee.

There seems to be quite a difference in the childrens birth dates
and death dates when compared to census and cemetery tombstone records.
Have copied all FARMER marriages from Newton County, Arkansas
records up to 1930 from LDS FILM No.1,035,373 and marriages are
taken from my list.

Thomas was born June 1862 in Iowa,son of John J. Waters and
Frances Schemadah.Mollie and Thomas are buried in Sandhill Cemetery,
Newton County.
Waters Children:
i: Lonnie Rufus Waters, born 4Aug1890(Feb1891) and died14June1975
with burial in Jasper Cemetery, Newton County.
Rufus married SARAH ELIZABETH "BETTY" GARNER on 21Mar1915(pg10)in
Newton County. Betty was the daughter of William S. and Malissie
Hale Garner.
Their children were William T; Paul, Daisy, Lura Gillispie, Arnold,
Edna Burdine and Loydene Davis .

iii: Ella Waters born Mar1894. She married WILLIAM DWIGGINS on
31Dec1911,Newton County. William was born Dec1890.
He was the son of Malinda Price Dwiggins Eddings.

Morley- Velmer "Red" Canady, 70, of Morley died Tuesday, May 23, 2000
at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 7, 1929, in Arkansas, son of Bunkie Franklin and
Iva Farmer Canady.
Canady had been a road grader with the Missouri State Highway Dept.
Survivors include four sons: Doyle Canady of Morley, David and
Tommy Canady of Cape Girardeau, Jerry Canady of Kansas City;
two daughters Mary Summers of Scott City, Diane Amulunke of Dutchtown;
his step-mother Versie Canady of Oran, two half brothers Johnny Canady
of Benton, Bobby Canady of Oran; two sisters Josie Cooper of Jasper,
Ark., Nola Way of Houston, Texas; three half sisters, Edith Riggins of
Dexter, Lisa Graviett of Oran, Tammy Belt of Poplar Bluff; 11
grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a half sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after
5 pm today.
Funeral will be at 2 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in
Friends Cemetery in Oran.

JOSIA MAE LEE CANADY COOPER
Josia Mae Lee Cooper, age 84 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Friday,
February 26, 2016 at her home.
The daughter of Bunk and Iva May (Farmer) Canady was born on
June 29, 1931 at Hasty, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and loved gardening, raising chickens and quilting.
She was a member of the Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church and had
lived most of her life in Newton County.
Josia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Cooper;
two sons, David Carter and Tim Jiminez; two daughters, Susan Ladner
and Mary Mansker; one grandson, Robert Carter; one brother, Velmer
"Brother"; three sisters, Laura Jane, Dorothy and Kathy.
Survivors are her children, Rocky Carter, Gary Cooper, Johnny Cooper
and Shelia Villines all of Jasper, Arkansas, Patsy Rollinson of Western
Grove, Arkansas, Laura Carter of Viola, Arkansas, Ruth McLeod of
Doniphan, Missouri and Loleta McCollough of Dexter, Missouri; one
sister, Nola Way of Houston, Texas; twenty-six grandchildren and
numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many
other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Coffman
Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sherman
Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the
funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Joe Carter, Kelly Rollinson,
Roger Tucker, Ronnie Long,James Carter,Johnny Carter, Tyler Villines,
Wayne Rollinson, Doug Mooney,Daniel McLeod,David Carter, Lynn Sauceda,
Mark Cassanova and Rodney Mansker. Honorary pallbearer will be
Dr. Jimmy Justice.

Their children, all 10 of them listed, my grandmother is #9!!!
My mother's mother (#9) remarried after Mr. Carter to a James Savage.
My mother & her brother were born of that union.
My mother died in 2001, not knowing much about her mother's family.
