Nancy had two children who died as infants.
They were later divorced.

No known children from this second Newberry marriage.
Aunt Nan Flud Bolin Newberry died in 1934 with burial in Smith
Cemetery, Newton County.

Sarah Atkinson Bolin later married (2) CLAIBORNE M SMITH in 1899 and
drew his Civil War Pension until she died in 1928.
Sarah died 19 Aug 1928 with burial in Yardell Cemetery,Newton County.
Claiborne M Smith was brother to my Flood children's maternal great
great grandfather,Henry Woody Smith.

I found them in Franklin County Arkansas in 1900 living near his
father Joe H Carie' who was born in 1839 in France.
John Carie' was brother to Nora Carie' who married COLONEL FELPS BOLIN.

Ellen Bolin had been engaged to JAMES HENDERSON (18) in 1895 but no
certificate of marriage was issued..

Hi there! I have a lot of Newton Co relatives. Thought I would post
this - it's my Great Great Grandparents - William Henry Bolin and
Katie Liles Bolin.

William Henry was son of John E. Bolin and Sarah Atkinson
William Henry Bolin died 10Feb1935 with burial in Pisgah Cemetery
Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas. He was born 16May1880

My Great Grandfather, Elec Bolin married JENETTA "ETTA"RIDGLEY,
daughter of Joseph Ridgley and Dora Alice Martin. They had 12
children, 8 of which survived to adulthood.
Elec died 12/10/1969 in Russellville. Etta died March 1971 in
Russellville,Pope County,Arkansas

MARY CANZADA BURDINE, born 11 October 1869.
She married JOHN L BAKER on 4 November 1888 in Newton County,
Arkansas..
After having several children, Mary Canzada died,unknown date.
Her husband John L Baker gave the children away.
George Burdine and Mt.Jerry Smith went after the children.
They brought Thomas and Angie Baker back to Newton County. They
could not find baby Lee Baker who was being kept by a family that
wanted him.
Known Baker children were:

She married JAMES LOUIS BOLIN(1882-1948) on 26 August 1906 in Newton
County.Angie was his second wife

They had a son Lonnie Baker, born 24 May 1917 but who died 9 June 1917
and is buried in Smith Cemetery
His widow Rhoda Reddell Baker later married JOHN MARTIN of Vendor on
21 December 1929.
iii:Lee Baker.Birth date unknown.
He was kept by a couple who wanted him after the father gave the
Baker children away.
Oliver Smith later visited Lee Baker, I am told
Do not know when or where Mary Canzada Burdine Baker died or where
she is buried but believe the Pope County bottoms at Atkins.

She married CONNIE LEE SMITH on 26 Jan 1939 in Carson City,Nevada.
Connie Lee Smith has given me much data on the Burdine families.
Connie taught school for 5 years and had a radiator business in
Berkeley,California for 50 years. Connie Lee Smith was 88 years young
on the 5th of May 1998. Connie Lee Smith is the son of "Mountain
Jerry"Smith of the Levi Smith and Sopha Ann Flood Smith family.
Connie Lee Smith's mother was Sarah Ann Burdine, daughter of
Nathaniel Burdine and Sarah J Pierce.
Connie Lee Smith's brothers and sisters were:

My Flood children are related to this Burdine family through
Elizabeth Betsy Nichols Bolin ,she being the daughter of
"old John"Nichols, Betsy being a sister of Tabitha Nichols who
married Stephen Ricketts and also related through Gilbert Smith
whose sister Sarah Smith married William S Ricketts, a son of
Tabitha Nichols and Stephen Ricketts.
Sarah and Gilbert Smith were the children of Jeremiah and Margaret
Armstrong-Byrd Smith. Three Smith men married three Flood women.
Once again my Flood children are related to this family through the
Sophia Ann Flood Smith branch--she was a sister to our great
grandfather George W Flood "Uncle Wash".

Allie Bolin Coonts Campbell, age 93 of Piercetown,Arkansas
passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at her home.
The daughter of John and Rosie Bell Smith Bolin was born on
April 12, 1921 at Mt. Judea, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Newton County.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and spoke daily of Jesus and was a
witness to everyone she knew.She was a devout Christian.
Allie is preceded in death by her parents;second husband
Delbert Campbell;one granddaughter Coleen Coonts; a great-
granddaughter,Laken Holt and two sisters Sylvia and Minnie.
Survivors are her first husband and father of her children;
six sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Peggy of Mt. Judea,
Roy and Mary Ann of Mt. Judea,Glenn and Sheri of Jacksonville,
Dale and Iva of Vendor,Lexie and June of Jasper and Arles and
Donnita of Mt. Judea;two daughters and sons-in-law Gean and Earl
of Mt. Judea and Charlotte and Rick of Harrison;twenty-six
grandchildren,forty-three great-grandchildren and nine great-great-
grandchildren
