It is said that Alexander Norton was in Confederate Service (Civil War)
and went home to see his newborn daughter Georgia Ann Norton.

Patricia Fern Norton Reddell,age 79, of Harrison, passed away
Saturday,December 20, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield,
Missouri. She was born September 7, 1935 in Jasper, Arkansas, the
daughter of Howard and Ola Middleton Norton. She lived most of her
life in Newton County,Arkansas and was a graduate of Mt. Judea High
School. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri to find employment. She
worked at Sears Roebuck and a small defense plant.
Pat met her husband Robert Vincent Reddell in Kansas City,even though
they were both from Newton County Arkansas. They lived there 10
years and had two daughters, Marsha and Tamara.
In 1963, they moved back to Arkansas where they were co-owners of
the Ozark Cafe in Jasper.She later went to work as a dental assistant
for Dr. J. Lex Moore DDS at Harrison. Pat also was a teacher�s
assistant in the Jasper Public Schools.
Pat, Robert, and the girls were overjoyed when they had a son
William Robert Reddell
Pat retired from Newton and Boone County Department of Public Health.
She loved people and the many aspects of her life.
After their children finished college,she and Robert liked to travel
on bus tours with family and friends and to Southern Texas during
the winter months, where they were called �snow birds�.
She liked reading her Bible, fishing, camping, floating the Buffalo,
and southern Gospel singing.
Pat dearly loved her children and grandchildren and taught them to
Love the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Jasper
and also attended First Baptist of Harrison.
Pat is survived by two daughters: Marsha (Tony) Horton,
Tamara (Jerry)Allen all of Harrison; one son, Bob (Tanya) Reddell of
Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She was Nana to Dawn Allen-Williams, John Allen, Austin Reddell,
Tori Horton,Laken Reddell,and Anna Reddell;and
four great-grandchildren: Dawson, Jeri, Keri, and Mallori.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at
First Baptist Church of Harrison.A Celebration Luncheon will follow
the service. Family graveside services will be 2:30P.M. Tuesday at
the Maplewood Cemetery. A Visitation will be 6:00 � 8:00P.M. Monday
at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Tony Horton, John Allen, Blake Geren, Gerald Norton,
Austin Reddell, Danny Norton, Danny Reddell, Ricky Reddell

Don Charles Norton,74,of Piercetown, died Sunday, March 27 (2016) at
the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper.Visitation will be 6-8 p.m.
Wednesday, March 30, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home,Harrison.
Funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday,March 31, at Piercetown Holiness Church
with Rev. Rex Middleton and Rev.Rev Ron Hubbard officiating.
Interment will be in Smith Cemetery,Vendor.
Memorials may be made to Piercerown Holiness Church.
He was born June 24, 1941 in Vendor.
His parents were the late Judge Howard and Ola Middleton Norton.
Don was preceded in death by a stepson, Donnie Flud; his brothers
Howard Norton, Jr. and Paul Norton and sister, Pat Reddell.
Don attended Piercetown Holiness Church,was baptized in the Buffalo
River.He was a life-long resident of Newton County and a graduate of
Mt.Judea High School.
Don was an employee of the Newton County Road Department and the
Arkansas Highway Department from where he retired.
Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lucy Norton; his stepsons,
Larry, Bob and Tom Flud; two sisters, Joy Burdine of Vendor and
Sue Geren of Springdale; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; a
great great-grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews.
Don's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Nick James, John James, Bob Reddell,
Dr. Blake Geren, Brian Norton and Gerald Norton.

Harvey Norton worked for the Arkansas Highway Department for thirty-two years.
They lived at Lurton, Parthenon and farmed between Cowell and Deer
on Highway 7.After retirement they moved to Harrison, Arkansas.
Harvey worked for awhile as a maintenance man and loved to sit on the
square at Harrison and trade stories, watches, and knives and would
probably whittle a little. There you could find him a big part of the
time.
After his death wife Matilda moved to Huntingburg, Indiana
to be with her daughter Geneva. Harvey died on 1Jan1963.
Matilda died on 25Jan1975.
They are buried Maplewood Cemetery at Harrison, Boone County,
Arkansas

Casa Grande, are scheduled at 3 p.m. ,Tuesday at Mountain View
Cemetery,Casa Grande, AZ with the Rev. Rick Lemberg and members of
the Veterans of Foreign Wars officiating.
Visitation scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cole & Maud Chapel.
Mr. Littlejohn was born June 12, 1929 in Virden, OK, and had lived
in Casa Grande for two years after moving from Kentucky.
He was a retired United States Army Master Sergeant and had served
in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
He died Dec. 28, 1989 in Casa Grande,AZ.
He is survived by four sons: Marvin Jr.,Joey,Wayne and Tim,all of
Bardstown, Kentucky; one daughter, Evelyn Wheatly, of Bardstown;
his mother, Clara Littlejohn, of Casa Grande;one brother,
Bobby, of Marana; four sisters: Mary Morrow, of Casa Grande,
Marie Thompson, of Lavaca, Arkansas, Dorothy Farrell, of Bowie and
Faye Romanini, of Buttonwillow, CA; and nine grandchildren.
