NORTHERN ARKANSAS KINFOLKS

Willing to SHARE and EXCHANGE my researched information.
Have a huge collection of family group sheets on the listed families, nearly all kinfolk to our Flood\Flud families.
Have been researching NORTHERN ARKANSAS FAMILIES for many years .
Many family members have helped me gather this information.
Without their help, I could not have all this genealogy.
Own a large, personal library of census, cemetery, marriage and Civil
War Soldiers books.
Have many Civil War pension and military records on Northern Arkansas soldiers.

NOTE: Have written many genealogy stories relating to these researched
families. Visit my 'Kinfolks Stories' Section and see the families
I have written about so far. If you don't see your family name listed there,it means I HAVE NO
information to share.
There are many collateral families mentioned under the main family
name.
Intend to eventually place ALL researched family genealogy in my
'Kinfolks Stories' section.
Try to include photos of listed families in each story that I write
Am also including photos of Newton County that I took when visiting
there in 1988, 1992 and 1994
There will also be old photos in my KINFOLKS MEMORY ALBUM that
people have sent to me over the years.

What a challenge to do this research.
Research on these many families extended to Boone, Carroll, Conway,
Franklin, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Pope and Searcy Counties
in addition to Newton County, Arkansas.
And many out-of-state locations were researched too.

They ARE NOT just marriage books.
They contain family information in about 90% of the listed marriages.

NOTES:
James was son of James Coleman Lively and Margaret J Risley Lively
living in Newton Co. AR. in 1900, Polk Township, Visit 96.
Margaret J Risley was the daughter of Phoebe Burdyne (Amos Burdyne
family) Risley who was living with the James Coleman Lively family on
the 1900 Newton Co. AR. Census in Polk Township, age 75, born in
Missouri. James Walter died in 1985 in Dewey, OK. and is buried in
Maplewood Cemetery, Boone Co. AR. Mary Alice was the daughter of
Leander Andrew Jackson Payne and Laura Florence Davis Criner Payne
living in Newton Co. AR. in 1900, Polk Township, Visit 81.
The Payne family was also living in Polk Township in 1910.
Phoebe (Pheby) Risley was on the 1880 Newton Co. AR. Census in
White Township, Visit 58 with children: Margaret age 28, born
Arkansas and daughter Polly age 19 also born in Arkansas.
Margaret Risley, age 30 had married J C Lively, age 46, on
14 Oct 1888 (C-120)in Newton Co. AR.
James C Lively, born 22 Feb 1840, died 28 May 1909. Margaret,
born 22 Dec 1861,
Died 28 Sept 1922. They are buried in Dickey Cemetery, Newton Co. AR.
I believe Pheobe (Pheby)Burdine was the daughter of Amos Burdyne and
Jennie Davison.
It is stated on the census that she was born in Missouri, her father
in Virginia and her mother was born in Kentucky.

such as maiden name of wife; marriage date and place;
whereabouts family was from,when they died and where they are
buried,etc.in about 80% of listed families.

(Samuel was brother to John WATSON.
Mary Elizabeth JENNINGS married Samuel Watson. She was
sister to Nancy JENNINGS WATSON. They were from Cumberland Co. KY
Samuel died in 1917. Mary Elizabeth died in 1914. They are buried
in Swain Cemetery, Newton County,Arkansas)

Have interviewed many elderly kinfolk and made many long-distance
phone calls. Try to call an elderly person each weekend.
And add the many hours of reading microfilm in libraries
and the bus trips I have made to find answers to my quest, and
you will find I have lots of family information
I have used the LDS Family History Libraries for about 80% of
my research.
The LDS (Mormon)Library has microfilmed the actual court records,
wills, marriages, probate records, etc. so have actually read the
original records. No guessing here.
You will not find many answers to your research on the Internet.
You are looking for someone else to fill in your missing information
on the Internet. Right!!. How do you know it is correct?
Could be handed down information which is incorrect.

Have done lots of volunteering on different State's websites.
Have placed many queries on Genforum.com and helped others
with their research. In turn, many people have helped me find the
answers to my quests. That is why I want to help others...because
I have been helped greatly by other people.
Belonging to genealogical societies in different states has
helped me greatly.
