Edith (Edie) was born 1902, South Yarra, Melbourne. However, Edie is likely to lived most her younger years in Moliagul where her father was an engine-driver and also farmed land (for details see 707). Edie probably remained in Moliagul until her marriage to Edward Rea.

Edward had served in the Royal Australian Engineers during World War I. His discharge papers noted him as joining 7 June 1919, discharging 7 July 1922. During his term in the AIF he remained in Australia.
Edward had served on the Moliagul School Committee 1937-1944 (Secretary 1937-1939). Edith served 1943-1944 (Secretary 1943-1944).
By 1949 they were living in nearby Dunolly; the 1949 Commonwealth Electoral Roll noted Alan’s occupation: council employee and Hilda’s: home duties and their residence: Broadway, Dunolly. In 1954 they were still living in Dunolly; the 1954 Commonwealth Electoral Roll noted Alan’s occupation: council employee and Hilda’s: home duties and their residence: Inkerman St, Dunolly.
After Edward’s death in 1958 Edith married Frank Warnecke. Frank had previously been married and had children. (No further information known).
