Obituary on 24th June 1926 in the “Shepparton News”, (local newspaper).

Mr. T. L. Smith
Yesterday, at his late residence, Benalla Road, the death took place of Mr. Thomas Leonard Smith. The funeral is to take place to-morrow morning in the Shepparton cemetery. The service will be conducted by the Rev. O. Keen (Methodist) and the mortuary arrangements are in the hands of Messrs Kittle Bros. The late Mr. Smith, who was 47 years of age, came to this district from Oakleigh shortly before last Christmas in the hope of benefiting his health. He leaves a widow and six children of ages from six to sixteen for whom much sympathy is felt.

According to film reader from Shepparton Library, Shepparton is a good place to go if one had lung-related problems.
