Bartholomew Gartman
 On October 22,1737 Bartholomew registered a plat for 350 acres and a .5 acre Town Lot
 in Orangeburgh Township.

Note:This is probably the only plat for the Original Bartholomew.He is mentioned as being a neighbor on the plat of John Fritchman in Berkeley Co. Dec.20,1738.

On October 25,1766 Bartholomew registered a plat for 300 acres in Craven Co

Oct.2,1786.For 4 lbs.,13 schillings Bartholomew received a grant for 200 acres.Situated in the District of Orangeburgh on the North side of the Big Saltcatchers.

June 4.1787 Bartholomew Gartman for 12 pounds & 6/4 Sterling money received a grant for 528 acres situated in the District of Charleston on Buckhead? North Branch of Little Saltcatchers bounding on lines running NW on Weakley & vacant land,SE on Wm? Aulls?,SW & SE on Nielands?,the other lines on vacant.

Dec.3,1787 Bartholomew Gartman for 5 lbs,1/8 penny Sterling money,received a grant for 218 acres.Situated in the district of Charleston.Bounded by a line running NW by Adam Rict?,W.?&North by land surveyed for Mr. Tobishop?,all other sides by vacant land.

Jan.5,1789.For 9lbs,6/8 d Bartholomew received a grant for 400 acres.Surveyed for Jacob Lominick? the 5th day of October,1787.Situated in the District of Charleston in the fork of the Saltcatchers,bounding NW on Jacob Lominicks land and Jacob Fliers? land,SW on John Davises land,the other sides on vacant land.

Nov.2,1789.For 7 lbs.,17/8 d,Bartholomew Gartman received a grant for 338 acres.Surveyed for him March 24,1789.Situated in the District of Orangeburgh,on the North side of Saluda River.On the draughts of Saluda and Bear Creek.Bounded by lines running East South North and Northwest by land laid out.South West and Southeast by vacant land.

May 7,1798 Bartholomew Gartman & George Kizer,in trust for the German Protestant Church-St.Bartholomews Parish received a grant for 41 acres surveyed for them the 4th day of January,1798 situated in the Dist.of Orangeburgh,in the parish aforesaid,on Savannah Creek,bounded by a line running NW by George Kizers land,SW by John Kizers land,SE & SW by Jacob Rumphs? land, SE & NE by Jacob Folks land.-this deed is at the SC Archives.
 


Christian Gartman
Dec.1,1794.Christian Gartman received a grant for 184 acres.Surveyed for Asa Chaney the 30th day of January,1791.Situated in the District of Charleston on Coropen? branch,the waters of Willow Swamp in the Fork of Saltcatchers bounding NW on Paynes land,SW on Daniel Tripleys? land,the other sides on vacant land.

Daniel Gartman
In 1772 Daniel had a plat for 150 acres in Craven Co.
On April 2,1773 Daniel received a land grant for 150 acres in Craven Co.
On April 7,1788 Daniel received a land grant for 155 acres in the District of Orangeburgh on the
south side of the waters of Saluda River bounded by lines running SW,NW and NE on land
called Sinoks(?),NW by Daniel Gartman,SW by land called Wells(?),the other side by vacant land.
The plat attached to this grant was dated October 3,1787.Daniel paid 3 pounds for this land.
Also on April 7,1788 for 1 pound sterling money Daniel received a grant for 53 acres.Situated in
the District of Orangeburgh on the waters of Saludy River bounded by lines running SE and SW
by David Spence,NW by Oswalts,NW by land called Wells's,NW and SW by Daniel Gartman.
The plat for this grant was dated October 2,1787.

George Gartman

Feb.6,1826.George Gartman received a grant for 139 acres.Surveyed for him March 26,1825.Situated in the District of Lexington,near the head branches of Congaree Creek,waters of the Congaree River.


Jacob Gartman
On November 20,1753 Jacob Gartman is listed as a neighbor of John Brederman on a plat of Mr.
Bredermans for 250 acres in the fork between Broad and Saludy Rivers.
Question:Could this be the Jacob who landed in Pennsylvania in 1752?Or could it be the middle name of John;listed below?Both plats registered same day.

John Gartman
On November 20,1753 John registered a plat for 200 acres on Cannons Creek.
On March 2,1764 John had a land grant for 150 acres on Broad River
On March 17,1766 John had a land grant for 200 acres on Cannon Creek.
On May 18,1773 John registered a plat for 100 acres in Craven County.
On May 25,1774 John had a land grant for 100 acres in Craven Co.

Phillip Gartman
June 4,1787.For 8 lbs,10/4 penny or schilling Philip received a grant for 365 acres.Situated in the District of Orangeburgh on the waters of Saluda River on a fork of Creek called Beaver Dam,bounding on lines running NE by George Gartman,North by Spigerner?,West and South by Frederick Felden Sr.,West on Beards and other lines vacant.

   For 8 shillings Philip received 170 acres surveyed for him 30 Sept.,1789 in the Dist.of Orangeburgh on the south side of Saluda River on the drifts of the 2 Beaver Dam Creeks bounded on a line running south by George Gartmans land,west & south by George Chambers(?) land,east by Rignel(?) Williams land-dated April 4,1791.
