She was
not named and there is no date of her birth or death.
Grandmother Jones and I discussed each name as I wrote them. She smiled
as
I wrote Mary Madgalene and said, 'Mollie, you know stands for the name
Mary
I suppose there were so many Marys at that time she preferred to be
called
Mollie.
Our Grandfather Jones parents were Mike Jones and Cynthia Burkhalter
Our Grandmother Jones parents were David Gartman and Bettie Holmes
Our Grandfather and Grandmother was married in Wesson, Mississippi,
by a
Justice of the Peace, December 1, 1871.
I have no record of our Uncles or our Aunts deaths or marriages, of
course,
Grandmother and our
Mother died (5-31-64) after this copy was made from Grandmother's Family
Bible in 1931.
Aunt Nettie could give more facts and the date of her parents deaths.
This, the last copy was made October 16, 1965.
