WOLLING PLOT
Information concerning the Wolling Family Plot was furnished by Mary
Welker, 2110 Clarence Ave., Racine, Wisc. There are four markers on the
old Wolling-Welker farm, on property now owned by Carol Edwards. A very
old plot, now completely neglected by the present owner and overgrown
with brush. Lucinda Wolling married Christian Mark Shuckhart, May 21
1857. In 1858, she died in childbirth. She was buried on the farm with
her unnamed child. Christian married again and is now buried in the
Bloom City Cemetery. The location is about the center of the SW 1/4 SW
1/4 Section 11 of the town of Bloom. Follow D two miles north of Bloom
City and turn right toward Yuba, follow this road about two thirds of a
mile. It is hidden in the brush on the left side of the road.
