OAK RIDGE CEMETERY
Catalogued May 31, 1975 by H. A. Dieter. Located on the present Hilda
Foard farm, section 7, Town of Orion.
Turn south off U.S. 14 East on County Trunk O. Follow same for
6.4 miles to first town road to right. The cemetery
lies 1.1 miles north. A second route, leaving Richland Center on Wis.
80 South for about 4.5 miles, to first east
town road in section 7. Keep right at both forks. Entrance to Oak
Ridge is made on a grassy turnoff leading east.
One large pine and one very large maple stand as if to greet all
visitors at the inner entrance.
A Methodist church once stood at the left of the main entrance between
the road and the cemetery.
The grounds are in fair condition with several broken and missing
stones. The first known burial was in 1862.
