When quite young he rem'd with his father to Amherst (now Milford),
where he settled and [later] died. He and his brother Jesse succeeded to
their father's estate, situated on the Souhegan river. He was a deacon of
the Baptist ch. in Milford. (Derby, p. 48)

Remained on the homestead until 1834, when he removed to the village
into the house now owned by Frank W. Richardson, on road to Mont
Vernon, where he died.
